This whole thing was a mess on everyone’s part, tbh.

When Lucas had a one-night stand with Nicki, the mother of his friend Jake’s baby, on a carousel at the mall on One Tree Hill:

To be fair, Lucas didn’t know who Nicki was at the time. What made this so bad was that this was right after the whole Brooke/Peyton mess, not to mention Lucas worried his mom sick by disappearing like this. The fallout from all of this was just not worth it!

When Veronica hooked up with Reggie to deal with the news of her parents’ divorce on Riverdale:

I actually love Reggie and Veronica together, but she really should have been honest about why she suddenly wanted to get back together. Also, please, please stop using the word “endgame.”

When Julie slept with her daughter’s ex-boyfriend Luke (who was in high school!) on The O.C.:

Ugh, I might have been more lenient about judging this if Rory didn’t do the exact same thing with Logan in the revival. Just why?!

When Zig and Maya decided to take Molly and have sex for the first time on Degrassi: The Next Generation:

The fact that Dan’s girlfriend was played by Hilary Duff just makes this all the more iconic and terrible. As Nate eloquently put it, “How stupid can you be? The third person is always supposed to be a stranger!”

Miles definitely wasn’t perfect in this episode either and I’m glad they kind of talked, but…there was zero resolution on this? They just skipped to saying “I love you” and having sex without actually solving any of their problems. It didn’t sit right with me that only Miles had to apologize here.
