The package includes a whisk attachment, frother, blender, and four-blade chopper with eight speed options.

“When I’m making soup, which is actually pretty often during the cooler months, it’s always a pain to have to transfer soup from a stockpot to a blender in order to purée chunks of vegetables. This immersion blender makes it so easy and minimizes clean-up. It works for way more than just soup too. You can make mashed potatoes, smoothies, milkshakes, beat eggs, or prepare baby food.” —Hannah Loewentheil

A pack of ankle socks because they’re always disappearing in the laundry 😒. If you have irritated ankles, you’ll love the Achilles guard.

The socks in block

Amazon

“I initially bought these for running, since I was sick of spending so much money on “blister-proof” fancy socks and a ton of reviewers mentioned that these worked just as well. Not only did I find that to be true (even though I am a VERY blister-prone individual), they are also just so freaking soft. I spend all day in them in my apartment now and get mad when they’re in the laundry. If you want to up your sock game … these are the pairs.” —Emma Lord

A pair of Soul wireless earbuds so you can tune out your family members this holiday season when they start getting on your nerves.

amazon.com

“I’ve been an avid Obé Fitness user for over a year now, but have def upped my workout game since quarantine started. I usually try and squeeze in a workout early in the morning, during lunch, or right after I’m done with work. And since I’m never home alone, my workout used to be a little disruptive. That is, until I invested in these wireless headphones. I liked these ones because they’re not terribly expensive (compared to others on the market) and have some features specifically designed for workouts (water and sweat proof, stay put in your ears, and are noise-canceling). They connect to my computer and phone super easily and bring my workout right into my ears so I can get it done quietly.” —Abby Kass

My husband loves the photography options and I love all the classical paintings – as someone who loves changing up my decor, being able to update the display images has been so fun. An animal-free ice cream that will spare you the post-ice cream pain if you’re lactose intolerant. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more sustainable ice cream company. These use substantially less land, water, and energy than the average ice cream brand.

An assortment of Brave Robot ice cream flavors

Brave Robot

“It’s not a gimmick! I had my lactose-intolerant best friend try it too and we both loved it. She didn’t have to pop a pill, deal with stomach pains, or go to the bathroom after (all of which usually happen if she eats ice cream without her lactose pill). It doesn’t taste different from regular ice cream at all — in fact, you just feel good about the fact that it’s natural and made without cows. If you’re wondering, our fave flavors were Blueberry Pie (this is big for me as I generally don’t like blueberry-flavored things but this one has graham cookies in it!) and Hazelnut Chocolate.

This ice cream is made with an animal-free whey protein and the packaging is made with a renewable resource. Read more about how the ice cream is made here and check out the flavors here. Fun fact: If you send a picture of yourself asking your grocery to stock Brave Robot, they refund you the shipping costs!” —Nusrat Sultana

A set of masks because we’re going to need them for the foreseeable future. These masks come in so many dope prints, they’ll definitely become your favorite accessory.

Buzzfeed / Emma Lord

“I held off on buying these masks at first because I truly couldn’t choose a set to save my life (AESTHETICS ARE IMPORTANT TO ME), but after my brother got a set he loved I caved and got them too. These are super sturdy, well-made, SO great for the price point, and come in genuinely cute patterns and solids that make it a lot easier to match something to your outfit or mood. I tied the elastic on mine just for a snugger fit, but the size they come in well-suited for adult faces. The ones I’m holding above are the ‘Check Mates’ mix.

I love love love this chain. It’s ridiculously easy to snap on any of my masks and it adds a pop of fun color to anything I’m wearing. I’m hard-pressed to find an outfit I *don’t* want to wear with it. It’s extremely handy for keeping track of my mask and knowing it won’t get dropped or touch any other surfaces, too. A set of 18 essential spices so you can have delectable meals this holiday season, even if you’re not spending it with your family.

amazon.com, Hannah Loewentheil / BuzzFeed

The set includes garlic, kashmiri chili powder, crushed red pepper, cinnamon powder, smoked paprika, cumin seed, oregano, rosemary, cloves, turmeric, granulated onion, dark chili powder, ground yellow mustard, green cardamom powder, coriander seed, herbs de provence, fennel seed, and ground ginger.

“Anyone who cooks knows that spices and seasonings are so important. But filling up a brand new spice drawer from scratch is overwhelming and can quickly get expensive. So when I stumbled upon Spicewalla’s kitchen essentials spices and seasonings starter pack, I was intrigued. The adorably packaged, colorful set comes with 18 common spices and seasonings from rosemary and fennel seed to oregano and smoked paprika. It arrives in a single box filled with the different spices and seasonings, packaged in beautifully colored jars. Instead of hiding them in a drawer, I immediately wanted to showcase them. It just so happened the whole set fit like a glove on a shelf over my stove, and they give my kitchen a perfect pop of color. I can honestly say that this is one of the best products I’ve gotten for my new home. Of course, it’s just as practical as it is cute. Whatever I’m cooking, any spices I need are right at my fingertips. There’s turmeric, cumin, and coriander for curries, rosemary, crushed red pepper and oregano perfect for Italian dishes, and garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika for tacos or fajitas. A plant-based deodorant for making your pits smell more like a fruit farm and less like a landfill — sans the suspect ingredients. Yes, this is a cruelty-free, plant-based, deodorant and it *really* works.

A reviewer's photo of their deodorant with the caption: "natural deo that actually works"

BuzzFeed / Katy Herman

“Two things I used to believe: 1) That putting on deodorant would never be something I looked forward to and 2) natural deodorants just didn’t work as well and I was stuck with my regular drugstore brand (rhymes with Schmecret) instead of the effective aluminum- and cruelty-free formula that was my white whale. But now, slap me in Cabin 6 and call me Annabeth Chase, because I’m a dutiful daughter of Athena (Club). The first thing I noticed when I got my sample of this magic stuff in the mail was the sleek and pretty packaging that feels all Insta-worthy on my countertop. Then, the smell — I really don’t like perfume-y, overpowering scents, but this was so mild and beautiful and natural-smelling (I picked scent No. 2, a rose, sage, vanilla, lime and cedarwood blend). But most importantly, it heckin’ WORKED.

I will confess, and I know no one here will judge me, that I have skipped some shower days in quarantine with my family, and this empowered me to skip another. I’m not going anywhere and my parents love me unconditionally, okay??? But I also feel totally fresh with this stuff on. My pits stay noticeably dry and smelling A-OK pretty much all day, even if they were pretty stinky to begin with (is this TMI??). And it achieves all that with really just a swipe — no need to apply a ton. Between the pretty packaging, the scent, and the effectiveness, I actually look forward to putting on this plant-based, cruelty-free goodness in the morning (and therefore am less likely to forget). Try it out and have your pits thank me later!” —Katy Herman

A sanitizer bag for sterilizing nursery items because we’re in a pandemic and babies put everything in their MOUTHS😰. Save yourself some stress and invest in a tool that’ll always be useful.

A bear with germs before being sanitized // The bear with no germs after being sanitized by the bag

Amazon

“So I recently got a chance to test out this UV sterilizer, which is about the size of a breadbox. I wasn’t sure what to think at first because, well, everything a toddler touches gets dirty and needs a thorough cleaning. But here’s where it comes in handy. There are some toys that you can throw in the wash (but if its a favorite that’s being taken away, that might cause a meltdown). There are also some toys that get waterlogged and need to be carefully cleaned. And then there are times when you just sick of using another disinfecting wipe. So now you’ve got another option that doesn’t take long at all and will leave your child’s toys germ-free and ready to pick up brand-new germs.” —John Mihaly

“I bought this because honestly when I think about the fact that I’m gonna have to remove my package labels and rip them to smithereens, I don’t even feel like ordering anything anymore! I knew we’ve put these rollers in posts before, so I decided to order one for myself. The ink is preinstalled (yay), so all I did was remove the ink cover and rolled right over the label info I wanted to hide, and BOOM, it was all covered up! My mom and I were pretty impressed, and honestly, I didn’t want to stop using it! I went through the house just looking for more things I could use this lil’ guy on. While it works amazingly well on most package labels and paper, it won’t work on super-glossy surfaces.” —Jasmin Suknanan

A pack of compression socks to boost circulation on days you haven’t had the energy to move at all. They’re anti-cold and moisture-wicking, so they’re great for brisk morning runs too!

A reviewer wearing the socks

Buzzfeed / Harper Hendrickson

“Hi, my name is Harper and I’m here to tell you about some socks that recently changed my life. I’m talking about Melerio copper-infused compression socks. I tried them on a whim when I was really sick over the summer, and boy am I glad I did. As soon as I put these babies on, I could immediately feel their power. They definitely compress — they are pretty tight and can take a sec to get on, but I promise it’s worth it! I am disabled, immune-compromised, and I struggle with daily asthma flare-ups, inflammation, and muscle aches. The very first time I put a pair of these on, I felt…so much better? I immediately asked my partner to try them too to see their reaction, and well, that pair is theirs now.

These socks improve my circulation, soothe my aches, and the compression element also helps me feel really calm and grounded (I sleep in these!). I’m extremely allergic to mold, and copper is mold-resistant, so the fact that these are copper-infused turned out to be a huge win-win for me. It’s worth noting I wore these socks while I was living in the desert, and they lasted through the extreme heat (109+ temps), and the many skate sessions, hikes, and washes I put them through. It was, and still is empowering to start my day with one positive thing I could do for my body to get a little relief — slap on a fresh pair of these socks! Did a pair of socks cure all of my woes? Absolutely not. But they did help me feel well enough to leave the house, get outside, and start my long journey to recovery.” —Harper Hendrickson

A cookbook to inspire the tiny chef in your home to learn basic life skills. You’ll get so many adorable, Christmas card-worthy photos while cooking with this book.

The cover of the cookbook

America’s Test Kitchen Kids

“My toddler is at the age where she’s eager to help with everything — including cooking. That’s why America’s Test Kitchen: My First Cookbook caught my eye when it came out in early March. I didn’t know it at the time, but the book would come in incredibly handy starting a few weeks later when quarantine kicked off.

There are a ton of kid- and family-centric cookbooks out there, but IMO, most of them don’t really nail it — especially if they’re aimed at much younger kids. Recipes are either overly complicated, gimmicky, or not actually something most toddlers would want to eat. But this cookbook avoids all of that. The recipes are all-purpose and written with smart, legitimately-doable tips and tricks built in. And each one is photographed in an eye-catching and step-by-step way — so toddler and kid cooks can follow along and help. It’s really well done. (And yes, the final results taste great!) Granted, most of these recipes don’t exactly reinvent the wheel — think: applesauce muffins, barbecue chicken, classic M&M cookies — but when your kid is just starting to learn the basics, you don’t always need to. TL;DR: Most kids’ cookbooks don’t deliver. This one does!” —Melissa Jameson

The perfume bottle

Sephora

“I purchased this a few months ago and I AM OBSESSED. I was always fond of the ‘spritzing some perfume under your hair’ trick (aka the back of your neck), so it would last longer but this product has changed the game for me. A few quick spritzes of this on my hair since I’ve lightened it in color helps tame a bit of my frizz, while adding a heavenly scent that I would genuinely eat (but I won’t lol).” —Ali Faccenda

Knoll

“I love this desk. Until quite recently, I’d been working either on the couch (which hurt my back, neck, and wrists), in my bed (which made me want to nap every five minutes), or at a tiny kitchen table (which was only large enough for my laptop). Now that I have this bad boy, I have room for my work laptop, a 27-inch monitor, and my ginormous 17-inch laptop, plus space for snacks, my water bottle, random chargers, and my office supplies. On top of that, I can easily adjust its height if I’m ever tired of sitting and need a new view. He never complains when I make him sit next to me when I work all day. I wish the joy that I feel cuddling with him upon every living creature on Earth.” —Emma Lord

“I actually have a whole stack of these in my apartment at this very moment! Their unique look makes them seem like a personal choice, which I love.” —Mallory Mower

Promising review: “These bags are a great deal. I bought them with a gift I purchased. I always forget bags. These are very sturdy and will hold quite a bit ever for a smaller bag. I would say the bags are more small then medium. They also look very nice and I got lots of questions on where they were purchased.” —Amanda

An 100% Egyptian cotton sheet set that feels like sleeping on literal cumulus clouds. We spend a third of our lives sleeping and improving the quality of rest is 💯 percent worth the investment.

Maitland Quitmeyer, Percale

“I recently switched from a set of very old, pilling sheets to these babies, and…….the difference could not be larger. If you’re on the market for new sheets, look no further. But if you’re worried about wanting to do *everything* from bed, these might not be for you because sometimes I want to spend all day in these. These sheets are SO SOFT, I just want to burrow into them. They wash up beautifully, and I have never loved being in bed more (and…I already loved being in bed). I can honestly say I’ve never slept in more comfortable sheets. You know the feeling of freshly shaved legs and clean sheets??? Imagine that times a thousand in Parachute sheets.” —Maitland Quitmeyer

Get it from Percale for $87+ (originally $109+; available in sizes Twin—California King and six colors).
