A set of oven liners to catch crumbs before they permanently attach themselves to your oven. Raise your hand if you hate cleaning your oven. Great. Now take that same hand and click the “add to cart” button.

Amazon

Promising review: “I got tired of cleaning the bottom of my oven out after every drip and spill, or running the ‘oven clean’ option, which uses up so much energy and makes my house HOT during the process. I used to have foil on the bottom of the oven to help with spills, and that improved things greatly — but then you have to replace the foil after a while. I had to cut them to size, which was easy to do with a simple pair of household scissors. Then I placed them in the oven (they look nice!), and I waited for it to get messy. I cooked something super messy and finally needed to clean the liner. It was SO easy; I put it in the sink and used my sink sprayer and everything immediately slid right off the liner. No problem! I have a double oven, so I was glad this pack came with more than one. I have one in each oven and one on standby in case I need it. I know that having a dirty oven isn’t the worst thing in the world, but if it matters to you, try these!” —Hpg

A collapsible splatter guard so last night’s spaghetti leftovers don’t turn your microwave into a Jackson Pollock painting. This lil’ guy is collapsible and dishwasher-safe so you can easily store it (or keep it in the microwave) when you’re not using it.

The plastic splatter guard with a red rim on top of a plate of leftovers in a microwave

Amazon

Promising review: “This item replaced a solid plastic noncollapsible microwave food cover, that melted when a popcorn bag was placed on top. But I digress. This thing is easy to clean, (the collapsible part is silicone, so spattered food washes off easily), and is very well made. It’s tall enough to cover most plates of food, and shallow bowls. It folds pretty flat, so it can be easily stored somewhere other than in your microwave, but we just leave ours in the microwave all the time, until we need to microwave something other than a plate of food.” —JRB

Promising review: “We have been eating out almost every night for the last few years since there are only two of us most of the time and it seemed like the prep and cleanup was not worth the effort. We have been eating in almost every night since we bought this. You can cook most meals in just one pot and it is super fast. We made a chicken pot pie that was awesome. Sautéed the chicken in the pot, added other ingredients and then pressure cooked for 10 minutes, then added crust and cooked with the air fryer. It was flaky and delicious! Can’t wait to try more recipes. We are more likely to cook healthier meals at home since the cook time is less and the cleanup is so simple.” —Geri C

Much better than our sponge and slimy sink washing. *bleh* I am on the third load and so far it’s done great. It’s just three of us in the house so we really don’t need a huge dishwasher. Promising review: “Does a FANTASTIC job if used regularly. I love this product. I hate cleaning tubs. This product has made our tubs look new. I don’t use it every shower…maybe every third. Just spray down everything after the shower, and forget about it. You DO need to rinse tub before next shower due to product making it slick. The fumes of other cleaners always messed with my asthma. I have noticed that for some reason with this one, I sneeze twice, because I have to spray shower doors while Im still in the shower…but it never affects my lungs. I would recommend this to EVERYONE!” —Angela GIllaird

A TubShroom for snagging the hair you shed before it clogs your drain and collects in the pipes. Have your relaxing showers turned into you just standing in a puddle of water five minutes after you turn on the water? Yeah, you need this.

youtube.com

Promising review: “I have long hair and recently had a baby. This means the poor tub drain is getting clogged every time we turn around, and we’re spending ridiculous amounts of time with that spiky stick thing you shove down there and then pull out over and over. I figured if this even worked to catch half of my hair then it would be worth its salt. Holy moly. When they say it catches every hair they aren’t kidding. We clean it off about twice A WEEK! And when they say it’s easy to clean, they are right again. A swipe with toilet paper and the hair blob comes right off to be flushed down the toilet. I’ve already told so many people about this product because I love it so much. Fantastic!!!” —sasamo

A two-tier no-drill corner shower caddy because you’re tired of playing Tetris on your shower’s ledges with your toiletries. This’ll prevent the avalanche of bottles and reduce clutter in your bathroom.

Reviewer photo of the shelf holding toiletries and a loofah

amazon.com

Promising review: “I have a lot — and I mean a lot — of body washes. The thing that annoys me is that I have nowhere to set my shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles. I didn’t have any ledge in my shower so I decided to purchase a shower shelf. I must say, this shelf is everything to me. I like how easy it is to set up and how sturdy it is. I was very nervous setting anything on a shelf that is attached on suction cups but these suction cups are very powerful, even with the humidity of the shower. I have taken a shower every day since I installed this shelf on my wall and still holds up. I was able to put about five body washes, my shampoo, and conditioner bottles as well as my facial cleaners. It definitely holds up well. Because it’s made with a durable aluminum, you don’t have to worry about rust, which was something I worry when being around water. —Adam Lopez

I was looking for a solution when I came across the Neater Feeder and thought it was a great idea. It is small but it’s the perfect size for both my cats. Not only did this product look super nice when I set it up it actually worked!! All of the water got trapped on the bottom and the food was trapped on the top as well. Made clean up so much easier. An automatic water fountain if you’re tired of your cats spilling water all over the floor. Why, Mittens?? Why? Cats generally don’t like deep, narrow bowls, so they may try to tip over their water dish to drink comfortably. The open design of this fountain will encourage your picky cats to stay hydrated.

It also comes with three replacement filters and a mat.

Promising review: “My cat likes to drink out of the toilet. I bought her a $60 stainless-steel teardrop fountain which she never used (not to mention how loud it is). I tried closing the toilet to force her to drink out of it, but then she resorted to meowing next to the sink. So I asked my sister, who is a vet, what I should do. She suggested a flower fountain since cats are more inclined to drink out of them. This thing is amazing. It is DEAD silent with the flower cap on, and without it it has a nice waterfall sound. My cat, even with the toilet bowl open, consistently chooses to drink from this. It’s been a lifesaver. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say about this.” —Minno Durkin

A hair-removing glove that’ll satisfy your fur baby’s endless desire for some rubbies *and* grab loose fur before it ends up all over your floors. It’s also great if your dog or cat goes running at the sight of a brush.

The grooming glove with silicone nodules, full of hair held in front of a French bulldog

AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

My colleague AnaMaria Glavan swears by this thing. In her own words:

The glove is super comfortable and using it couldn’t be more foolproof: just put it on and run your hands through your pet’s fur. That’s it! The silicone grooves pick up so much fur with ease. Like, my dog looks close to hairless. HOW is he shedding so much!?!? After a few runs, I found that I would have to remove fur from the glove before continuing (you can pick up the fur with your other hand or run the glove under some water — either works) but it’s no biggie. The silicone actually makes it really easy to keep this clean. We got Rockie when he was 5 and he’d been riddled with skin issues and allergies, so I was pretty nervous to use anything that could potentially aggravate his conditions. However! Not only does this *not* bother his skin, but he…loves this. A lot. He starts snoring after exactly two run-throughs on his back. Also, his coat looks SO shiny after each use! TL;DR: this is one of those inexpensive add-ons that any pet owner should have on hand.

It comes with an adorable scooper and place to hang it, and the subtle color helps it blend in the the room without really screaming ‘there’s poop in here.’ It’s not only discreet, but it keeps my cat from making a mess as she leaves. I got one of the dome types last because after she finishes she feels the random urge to bolt from the litter like a ghost is after her. (Cats, amiright?!) but not with this. She has to take her time and jump out. And what little litter she does track out is caught on the top piece that is so easy to remove and clean. And the price point is perfect too!” —Shelly B.

An air purifier for sucking up dirt, dust, allergens, and more before they coat your apartment *and* your sinuses.

The square black air purifier

Amazon

One of these Coway air purifiers made its way into my cart for Black Friday and I couldn’t be happier with it. Before this purchase I usually awoke with a stuffy nose and puffy eyes, and I would sneeze three, four, five, or more times. IDK if it’s the placebo effect, but since I’ve started using this air purifier, I wake up breathing easier and I don’t have sneezing fits anymore. (I’m actually a little scared to see how much has accumulated in the filter in the few weeks that I’ve had this.) My favorite feature is the pollution sensor, which indicates the quality of your air with an LED light. When the light switches from purple (polluted) to blue (clean), it really makes me feel like the air purifier is doing something.

Promising review: “Great item for finding my dog when she decides to fall asleep somewhere in the house and we can’t find her (Tile is on her collar). To top it off, she’s lost most of her hearing so she doesn’t hear me calling her. The noise of the Tile is loud enough to wake her up from her slumber and she comes wandering out from her hiding spot wondering what the noise is. A pair of sweeper slippers if you want to clean the floors as you walk around your apartment. They pick up dirt, dust, pet hair, your hair, and more with each step.

Natalie Brown / BuzzFeed

My colleague Natalie Brown (pictured above) has tested these and loves them. Here’s what she had to say:

“Of course these only really work on hard floors like wood or tile. And even then, they’ll pick up *some* stuff, but not everything — to pick up more dust, crumbs, and debris, you have to put a little effort into using your feet as brooms and sweeping everything into one pile. But when I wore them for a week, I did that way more often than I expected to, and my floors were cleaner because of it!”

Promising review: I am a NEAT FREAK! I love to clean. I literally clean my house daily. It can’t be clean enough. I have a two-story, three-bedroom three-bathroom house with two dogs. This vacuum cleans all of it! This gadget is legit like a little human vacuuming your floors, but super throughly. It goes over all my rugs and hardwood floors, and it goes in the bathrooms and closets and under all the furniture. Once in awhile it gets caught in the wires underneath my TV but most of the time it is able to get itself out of it. It’s quiet. My dogs barely even notice it. This is worth every penny! It’s easy to set up, and easy to clean after each use. It does all the hard work for you. Since I’ve had mine, I’ve literally gotten five friends to buy one and they all love it too.” —Shannon

Promising review: “I got this for my pillows. Having a 4- and 7-year-old who are constantly making messes in the living room, I was a bit fed up with replacing my pillows due to stains. The spraying was easy and quick, then I left them outside to air out. Today I noticed a big splatter of dried up ketchup on the pillow. I took a wet paper towel and rubbed off the stain.
