Following Wednesday’s attempted coup at the US Capitol, which had been openly planned online for weeks, a bunch of online platforms are reexamining their relationship with Trump and his supporters.

So, here are the major platforms to have banned or suspended Trump so far:

1.

Twitter

Trump’s account has been permanently banned. Other accounts related to the President have been suspended or had tweets deleted for “ban evasion.”

Snapchat

Snapchat has locked Trump’s account indefinitely.

3.

TikTok

TikTok removed videos of Trump’s speech inciting violence and has blocked hashtags related to the attempted coup.

Apple

Apple has banned Parler, a social media app popular with Trump supporters, from the App Store.

Google has also removed Parler from its Android app store.

Amazon


Smith Collection / Getty Images

Parler has been suspended from cloud hosting service Amazon Web Services. This means it’ll go offline, unless they can find another hosting service.

Pinterest

Pinterest has been restricting pro-Trump hashtags, like #StopTheSteal, since the November election to try and limit misinformation and content that could incite violence.

Reddit

Reddit has banned r/DonaldTrump.

Twitch

Trump’s account has been disabled indefinitely and the PogChamp emote has been removed.

PayPal

PayPal blocked a group that paid for Trump supporters to travel to DC. This also applies to Venmo.

Shopify

The commerce platform has, “terminated stores affiliated with President Trump.”

Discord

The pro-Trump server, The Donald, has been banned, “due to its overt connection to an online forum used to incite violence and plan an armed insurrection.” The server was linked to banned subreddit r/The_Donald and pro-Trump forum TheDonald.win.

YouTube

YouTube said that any channels posting misinformation would be, “temporarily suspended from posting or live streaming” and receive a strike. Channels with three strikes in 90 days will be permanently removed. One of Rudy Giuliani’s recent podcasts has been removed.

14.

Facebook


Facebook / Via Facebook: zuck

Trump has been banned for at least two weeks.
