Getting into skincare can be kind of overwhelming — there are just so many products on the market and tips on the internet! It can be hard to figure out what’s actually helpful.
On that note, we (it’s me, I’m talking about me) are DEFINITELY doing a lot of stuff wrong. So, dermatologists or skincare professionals — a little help here?
What are some common misconceptions or things people do wrong? Maybe you know that using certain exfoliants like apricot scrub is akin to scraping your skin, and that you should use something with finer or oil-based exfoliants.
Maybe you’d just like to spread the word that the most important anti-aging product you can use on your skin is sunscreen.
Does it always frustrate you when you see people use dangerous chemical peels?
Or DIY solutions that will do literally nothing, or even make things worse?
Let us know what we’re doing wrong when it comes to skincare in the comments below, and you could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!
