Last year, 22-year-old Faith Hill had to have all of her teeth removed after six years of drug addiction.
And Faith has been sharing her story on TikTok:
After being released from jail and relapsing after rehab, Faith left her abusive relationship in July of last year and got sober.
It was then that she realized how much damage the drugs had done to her teeth. BuzzFeed spoke to Faith who said she had to have all of her teeth removed and was completely toothless for over two months while she waited for her dentures to come in. “I was miserable during that time period. I didn’t feel pretty, I felt hideous,” she said.
“I would like to give full credit to Heidi Lynn who owns ‘Dangerously Chic‘ for paying for my dentures out of the kindness of her heart,” Faith added.
Finally, last December, Faith got her new teeth. “I decided to start making TikToks about my dentures to raise awareness and to show the world that people with dentures are beautiful, too. I want to crush the silly stigma against them and show others they should embrace them rather than hide them,” Faith said.
Many of Faith’s videos have gone super viral, and her recent one — where she smiles without her teeth — has gained nearly 17 million views:
So, it’s obvious Faith is helping break the stigma. “People are used to the stereotype that only ‘old people’ wear dentures — and that’s not true. I have patience and tolerance for those who believe the stereotype surrounding dentures simply because they aren’t educated on the subject,” she said.

In her TikToks, Faith also shares what daily life is like with dentures — something she says is a breeze! “I feel like I struck luck with how easy it has been adjusting to them. People say they never would’ve known they weren’t my real teeth if I didn’t tell them.”
Faith takes her dentures out every night to clean them and clean her mouth. She said, “I was also told that keeping them out while I sleep may persevere my bone structure. As of right now, I have had really good luck with the Polygrip ‘Gold Tube’ keeping my teeth in all day with no problems. And, yes, I can bite into an apple!”
Eventually, Faith wants to be able to help people who are struggling financially to get their smile back. She said, “We all have a story, it’s what you do with it that defines you. I don’t want people to be ashamed, I want them to feel beautiful.
At the end of the day, we’re all human, isn’t it silly to judge someone for their smile whether it was the one they were born with or not?”
