Promising review: “Works like a charm! I recently found myself a cat mama of an abandoned week-old kitten. I bought this knowing she needed just something to cuddle up to in her bed. Turns out it basically hypnotizes her to sleep. She crawls to it, kneads it and eventually her meows turn to silence. I wish the purring lasted longer but for $10 it is a lifesaver. She’s pooped on it a couple of times so I’ve had to throw it in the washer and dryer minus the battery pack. It’s held up great.” —S Leytem

Promising review: “Absolutely the best product. It saved my itchy goldendoodle! We tried changing food, Benadryl, medicated shampoo, fish oil, everything you can imagine… nothing worked long-term. He was itching his face so badly he would make himself bleed. Had sores and scabs all over his face and neck. I bought these because they had good reviews and I was desperate. It changed his life! He no longer scratches AT ALL! His coat looks great and all of his sores are healed. He’s the happiest he’s been which makes me a very happy momma. He is also very picky and never eats treats… he eats these every time so that’s an added bonus!” —Darcie Nation

A pack of White Paw dog toys so you can crack open a cold one with the boys (aka your fur babies).

Two "White Paw" dog toys shaped like White Claw alcoholic seltzers in the flavors natural lime and black cherry

Amazon

Promising review: “My dog is a soft toy destroyer. She usually tears them apart in five minutes, stuffing everywhere. But for some reason she has not gotten these apart yet! The fabric seems a little more durable but I think it also helps that there are no hanging pieces like a tail/ears, etc. She loves to toss them around. Squeaker isn’t in an area she bites all the time so it’s not overly annoying. Was super cute to post a picture of her with it and me with my own White Claw 🙂 They were a little pricey but I had to get them!” —Stacy Laake

Promising review: “My puppy LOVES this mat! He gets super excited whenever he sees it. He sometimes doesn’t like to eat his kibbles in his bowl, but he has so much fun finding and eating kibbles when I hide them in this mat. I heard nose work is also good for reducing separation anxiety in dogs, so I give him this mat whenever I need to leave more than two hours. He deals with separation way better with this. I’m 100% satisfied!” —Bom

A grooming glove that’ll satisfy your fur baby’s endless desire for some rubbies as well as your desire to not live in a house that’s covered in dog fur. It’s great if your dog or cat goes running at the sight of a brush.

The grooming glove with silicone nodules, full of hair held in front of a French bulldog

AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

My colleague AnaMaria Glavan swears by this thing. In her own words:

The glove is super comfortable and using it couldn’t be more foolproof: just put it on and run your hands through your pet’s fur. That’s it! The silicone grooves pick up so much fur with ease. Like, my dog looks close to hairless. HOW is he shedding so much!?!? After a few runs, I found that I would have to remove fur from the glove before continuing (you can pick up the fur with your other hand or run the glove under some water — either works) but it’s no biggie. The silicone actually makes it really easy to keep this clean. We got Rockie when he was 5 and he’d been riddled with skin issues and allergies, so I was pretty nervous to use anything that could potentially aggravate his conditions. However! Not only does this *not* bother his skin, but he…loves this. A lot. He starts snoring after exactly two run-throughs on his back. Also, his coat looks SO shiny after each use! TL;DR: this is one of those inexpensive add-ons that any pet owner should have on hand.

A water-resistant doggie doorbell for alerting you when your pooch needs to potty. Place one on the inside and outside so your pet can let you know when they’re ready to come in. You can choose from four different sound levels and 36 ringtones.

Dog pressing the doorbell with its nose with the text "easy to activate with nose or paw; only .75 pounds of pressure required"

Amazon

Promising review: “I adopted a 1-year-old Chihuahua who wouldn’t tell you when he needed to potty, and quickly we grew very worried about how to train him. Purchased this and immediately had buyer’s remorse. Dog looked at us like we were nuts. Slowly but surely though it worked! We started by us tapping his nose on it when we would let him out, and then he learned to jump on it when we would say it’s time to go out, then he started going over to ring it unprovoked!! He rang it maybe once on his own after three weeks, and about six weeks in he was fully house-trained and ringing the bell every time. I’m still amazed and guests think it’s hilarious when they come over and hear him ring it. We installed one at his snout level and the other on top for him to jump up and ring with his paws.” —Sleeping. In

12.

A snout soother so your pup’s snoot stays soft, moisturized, and oh-so boopable.

amazon.com, Amazon

Promising review: “Well, I have never before been so shocked at the effectiveness of a product. Our 5-year-old Frenchie, Carol, had a nose that was so crusty it was sprouting these long strands of more crust. There was literally crust on crust on crust. The nose had strings of crust. This nose was so crusty and repulsive it was almost beautiful. Her nose might have resembled the rarest, most exotic geode to be mined from the rarest mine in Guatemala. A friend recommended Snout Soother for Carol’s repulsive nose. I was worried she would just lick it all off and it wouldn’t work. We never imagined she could have a regular, soft, moist nose again. Honestly this product is some black magic stuff! Unbelievable results in three to five days. No one paid me to write this.” —Brittany

Amazon

Promising review: “My guinea pig, Oliver, is super weird. He hates playing with toys, and that means he tends to sit in his igloo most of the time. I have tried so many toys and light snacks for him, and he seems to only respond well to rice pops! My fiancé tried a nibble and wasn’t dissatisfied, so that’s good, I suppose! They’re not very durable because they’re meant to be snacky, but my piggy loves these, and I love the price!” —Preparing for Mommy blog

Some ~alpha~ fish tank decor for your betta. Can they make life-sized versions of these? Asking for a friend!

amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review for Squidward’s house: “I definitely watched SpongeBob as a kid but thought getting the pineapple for my little tank would be too tacky. Squidward’s house is much cooler decorations since if a guest recognizes it it’s awesome! And if they don’t recognize it from the show, they just think it’s a cool Easter Island old decoration. Win-win, love it! It is a decent size too and my betta can swim in and out easily. HOWEVER, I would certainly say to sandpaper down the inner edges and eye holes, since there are indeed little parts (as others have mentioned) that your fish could get stuck in potentially. Took a couple mins and now it is well worth it.” —Ted Green

Get them both from Amazon: the Groot air bubbler for $10.95+ (available in two sizes) and SpongeBob’s and Squidward’s houses for $5.23+ (available in multiple sizes and styles).

Promising review: “First off, this is the very first Amazon review I’ve ever written. I was leery about purchasing one because our cat is a CHONK at around 28 pounds. This product claimed to hold up to 55 pounds, so challenge accepted. I received the hammock this morning and I warmed the suction cups in water as recommended by the instructions. I also made sure to clean the window very well. It was easy to put together, and our boy Frank JUST fits in this thing. I am happy to say it has held up so far. Amazon

Promising review: “I gifted this to my daughter’s tuxedo, thinking it would satisfy his love of soft blankies and provide nice background to show him off in pictures. However, his striped brother has taken it over, smiling as he stretches out on it, sound asleep. Very soft on both sides, polyester for easy washing and lightweight enough that it will dry quickly. The design is very cute on the grey background, and I’ll probably be buying another so all the boys can enjoy their own blankie.” —Linnie

An accordion tunnel that’ll function as the perfect hideout for your small pets. It also comes with three balls that are great for nibbling.

A small rabbit in the blue tube

Amazon

Promising review:I got this for my guinea pigs as a Christmas present (don’t judge me) and they love it! They’ve already destroyed the little chew toys that come with it and they usually aren’t big on toys. The tunnel ships compact; at first I thought I got ripped off because it was so small, but it expands to be a nice long tunnel that is flexible and fun. The price is great as well since this simple tunnel would cost three times as much at a pet supply store. My pigs are males, so they need a hidey space where they can hang together but not be too tightly packed or else they get territorial — this is perfect! My only complaint is that they love it too much; their chasing each other around the tunnel keeps me up at night!” —kapplejack

Promising review: “Wow!! This hasn’t been out of the box 10 minutes and my little Shih-Poo Girl is exhausted!! She loves squeaky toys, but she usually has the squeaker out in 5–10 minutes, and she gets upset because they don’t make noise anymore. I was looking on Amazon for some dog toys and I was watching the video about this ball and she heard the noise and started barking and looking all over for it, That’s when I knew I had to try it with her.
