On Wednesday, Senator Ted Cruz criticized President Joe Biden for rejoining The Paris Climate Agreement, saying, “By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh.”
Keep in mind, the Paris Climate Agreement is essentially a policy where countries agree to fight climate change together. It has nothing to do with President Biden being “more interested” in the “views” of Parisian citizens. LIKE??
Cruz’s tweet was subject to some criticism/meme-ing, especially by actor Seth Rogen. Seth replied to the tweet, saying, “Fuck off, you fascist.”
This led to a lot of back-and-forth between the two, so buckle up, I’ve laid it all out for you.
Cruz replied to Seth’s tweet and said, “Charming, civil, educated response. If you’re a rich, angry Hollywood celebrity, today’s Dems are the party for you. If you’re blue-collar, if you’re a union member, if you work in energy or manufacturing…not so much.”
“If you’re a white supremacist fascist who doesn’t find it offensive when someone calls your wife ugly, Ted Cruz is the exact motherfucker for you,” Seth replied, referencing the fact that Cruz supports Donald Trump, who insulted Cruz’s wife in 2016.
The next day, Seth tweeted a video to Cruz, telling him to watch a video of an Allegheny County executive calling out Cruz for being a “climate denier” and “COVID denier.”
On Friday, Seth then replied to Cruz’s tweet about the movie Fantasia. He said everyone who made the film would have hated him.
Then, Cruz replied to Seth, using an ableist remark, saying that Seth behaves “like a Marxist with Tourettes.” He said, “Screaming F U! F U! is really, really clever. Your movies are typically pretty funny. I’m sure you hate that I enjoy them.”
Seth then called out Cruz using Tourette Syndrome as a jab. “As someone who has Tourette Syndrome in their family — and also has a very mild case himself — I once again take great pleasure in telling you to go fuck yourself.”
Seth then added two more tweets, reiterating that Cruz is a “fascist.”
To which Cruz responded, saying, “It’s your party that believes in government power: to shut your business, to oppress your faith, and to censor your speech.”
Seth quickly answered, saying that Cruz “literally inspired a deadly insurrection,” referencing the Capitol Riot, which left five people dead:
That’s the last of Cruz responding, but Seth did want to make one thing clear — there is no “feud.” Why? Because “Ted Cruz tried to overthrow our government.”
“Your lies got people killed,” Seth most recently said. “You have blood on your hands.”
Ted has not responded to Seth’s most recent tweets, but something tells me he will. And we will update you if/when that happens.
