As you know, Rihanna and Eminem have worked together on two massive songs — “Love The Way You Lie” and “The Monster.”

Which is why it was shocking to hear Eminem rap a really gross lyric referencing Chris Brown assaulting Rihanna in 2009. The following 2009 verse leaked in 2019:

Eminem’s reps told XXL, “This is a leak of something that’s over 10 years old. After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it, and rewrote it.”
“But, me, long as I re-promise to be honest / And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna / For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri.”

“It wasn’t meant to cause you grief,” the song continued. “Regardless, it was wrong of me.”

Rihanna has not responded to the song, but we will update you if she does.
